Craft coffee adopts a new identity at Kraken Coffee, a drive-through coffee company that’s been making waves over the last several years on Maui. Before we break down what makes Kraken’s coffee so heavenly, the employees that run these trucks deserve a special shout-out. From 6 am to 7:30 pm, customers are greeted with a smile. These folks embody the spirit of aloha- remarkably patient, friendly, and helpful.

As far as coffee, Kraken is a pioneer of sorts. Their Kraken Classic features ingenious delights like the Maui Mango Mocha (dark chocolate mocha with a hint of mango) and the Mocha Wao (white chocolate macadamia nut mocha). To keep things from getting stale, Kraken also dreams up ever-creative rotating specials.
Besides their inventive concoctions, Kraken Coffee is best known around Maui for its coffee ice-cubes. With two locations in the blazing towns of Kihei and Kahului, coffee ice cubes are imperative on a hot day.
