Cold press juice, pastries, and coffee are the hallmarks of Java Cafe, located in the Azeka Shopping Center in Kihei. One of the first things that greet you upon entering this polished cafe is the grab-and-go counter brimming with colorful cold press juices (juices from Java Cafe earn some extra brownie points from being sold in mason jars rather than single-use plastic- good on ya, Java Cafe). The Splash is a refreshing favorite- a simple mix of watermelon and lemon.
Pastry Heaven
Wander further into the cafe, and you’ll find heaps (literally) of fresh pastries. Chocolate croissants, croissants topped with Ferrero rocher, cinnamon rolls, and more decorate the counter.
However, the clear star of the show at Java Cafe is the coffee. Java Cafe serves coffee from Social Hour, a local roasting company based in Waikapu, and 100% Maui and Kona coffee are also sold in-house. If you stop in for breakfast, Java Cafe runs a great breakfast special of eggs, toast, protein, and a cup of coffee for $7.50.
