***Paia Bowls is currently closed, but they have intentions of opening in a new location and we will update this page with that information when it becomes available.***
Tucked on the edge of Paia Town, Paia Bowls’ quiet tropical setting serves as a sanctuary from the crowded sidewalks and the hustle and bustle that Paia is known for. Despite the secluded, faraway feel, Paia Bowls is only steps from the beach at Paia Bay.
Big Waves
Paia is only 5 minutes from the world’s windsurfing capital and popular surf spot, Hoʻokipa Beach Park, and 20 minutes from the renowned big wave spot Peahi, or Jaws. Owned by brothers and big wave surfers Luke and Ian Walsh, Paia Bowls’ menu reflects the healthy lifestyle maintained by both professional big wave athletes and the active residents that inhabit Maui’s North Shore. Purple acai bowls heaping with your choice of fruit are served up alongside smoothies featuring natural supplements like ashwagandha, collagen, cordyceps, and more.
Paia Bowls is one of the few eateries in Paia that is open for morning coffee, making this tropical haven a perfect stop before traversing the road to Hana. Serving locally roasted beans from Maui Oma Coffee Roasters, Paia Bowls has thought up several unique blended drip coffee drinks to give you a morning boost. Their Smart Start coffee, a reimagined bulletproof of sorts, is drip coffee blended with coconut oil, reishi, and brain dust, which boosts mental clarity and supports brain function. Paia Bowls also serves 10% and 100% Maui coffee blends.
While the popularity of acai bowls has only gotten a boost within the last 15 years or so, Paia Bowls is, in fact, shrouded in history. The humble green building that Paia Bowls operates out of is over 100 years old and has remained standing through several powerful tsunamis and hurricanes.
