“Friends don’t let friends drink Starbucks,” reads a sign outside of Cafe Cafe Maui in Lahaina. And unless Starbucks serves some of the best locally grown espresso on Maui, we happen to agree. Cafe Cafe is one of Maui’s finest locally-owned coffee shops, not only thanks to its delightful coffee and fresh food but the lovely staff (including the friendly owner) and the enjoyable outdoor setting as well.
The Menu
Cafe Cafe’s menu highlights Maui grown coffee, serving 100% Maui grown beans from Old Lahaina Coffee Company. Breakfast features a handful of healthy delights, like veggie sandwiches, acai bowls, and a variety of smoothies. Cafe Cafe is a great place to start the day or escape the cruel sun of Lahaina with an iced coffee.
Located on Lahainaluna Road off Front Street, this breezy outdoor nook is quite literally a delicious secret. In previous years, Cafe Cafe has received the title of Best Coffee Shop on Maui, according to Maui Time Weekly readers in the Best of Maui division. Sitting just off one of the busiest streets of Hawaii, Cafe Cafe offers a homey reprieve from the hectic sidewalks of Lahaina town.
