Tucked away on the windswept coast of Haiku sits a North Shore gem, Baked on Maui. A few minutes drive from both Jaws and Hoʻokipa Beach Park, Baked sits right in the surf hub of the North Shore in Pauwela Cannery. Surrounded by surf stores, ding repair shops, and surfboard shapers, Baked exudes the laid back, surfy atmosphere that defines Maui’s North Shore.
The Coffee
As far as coffee goes, Baked has it all. Espresso drinks, cold brews, and specialty coffees like their “Carbon Fiber Coffee” (a take on bulletproof coffee) line the menu. Baked has a variety of high-quality single brews prepared with a Chemex pour-over system for those who are a little more particular about their brews. Baked is also unique in offering CBD infused coffees of various strengths. Their CBD coffee is also bagged and available for purchase.
The Food
Staying true to their name, Baked fires up their ovens at midnight for an all-night baking spree in preparation for the day. As you walk into Baked, you’ll find fresh-baked baguettes, a counter full of pastries like cinnamon rolls and croissants, and another separate counter showcasing their cakes, cupcakes, and other goodies. For breakfast, Baked serves up omelets, skillets, and of course breakfast sandwiches on fresh-baked bread, as well as waffles, French toast, and more. If you’ve never tried French toast on thick slices of bread fresh out of the oven, head straight to Baked on Maui for tomorrow’s breakfast. Lunch also showcases their mouthwatering bread, with an assortment of sandwiches and burgers on fresh ciabatta, focaccia, croissants, baguettes, and more.
